    There are far too many modalities, strategies, dri There are far too many modalities, strategies, drills, lifts, secondary lifts, etc for you to add them all 

Instead of attempting to add them all into your training ask yourself, “what can I not leave out?”

This heuristic will allow you to trim the fat and remove the fluff in your training

Doing the basics and performing the exercises and training sessions that truly matter will give you the long term adaptation you desire 

Majoring in minors and stressing about everything you’re NOT doing will lead you to no adaptation or burnout 

Things I personally will never leave out of my athletes  and my own training are 

- sprints 
- jumps 
- heavy lifting 
- conditioning 

These are the basics that cannot be removed from a program. If you are adding in things but you aren’t doing these consistently you’re doing too much fluff and not enough substance.
